I am not a world leader, nor am I a star athlete. I have never done anything life threatening, traveled to an exotic land, nor lead a rally. I may never write an award winning novel, nor make a brilliant discovery. I may never want to leave my hometown, though I hope to experience the world.
My name is Karina S, I am 14 years old, and I attend high school. I have several goals I want to achieve during my years in high school. I want to maintain at least a 4.0 GPA, have all the honors classes I can, become fluent in Spanish, and attend a 4 year university. I want to learn more about different career options for a languages major. I also want to begin to shadow at different jobs. I would like to make new friends and more importantly, stay close or get closer with old ones.
I have always dreamed of having a job that I truly enjoyed and that I wouldn’t mind getting up at 5 in the morning to get ready for. It seems that every year that job changes to something new. For three years I wanted to become a professional chef and open up my own restaurant in New York. That was my dream. When I came to this school I discovered how much I enjoyed my Spanish class. It all seemed to come together. When I was in Middle School my goals list was always full of languages to learn. I love traveling with my family and friends. I wish to travel to New York in the near future. I have always had a curiosity for the culture of foreign lands.
When I came to this school all these dreams became a reality. The four years of high school are important and I want to make the most of them.
